What we do with
your details.
Short version: we use them to ring you back about the job you enquired about, and nothing else. We don't sell data and we never will. The longer version is below.
Who we are. Cwtch & Canopy is a trading name of Pro Spec Interiors Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company number 04277674, registered office 18 Craddock Street, Swansea, SA1 3HE. We're the data controller for anything you send us through this website. If you want to talk to a person about any of this, ring 07399 602 344 or email scottp@cwtchandcanopy.co.uk.
What we collect
When you fill in an enquiry or contact form: your name, phone number, email address and postcode, which service you're interested in, roughly what budget you have in mind, when you'd like to start, and whatever you write in the message box.
If you used the price estimator first, we also receive the size you selected and the figure it showed you. That's so the person who rings you already knows what you've been quoted online, rather than starting from scratch.
We ask for a postcode, not a full address. There's no reason for us to know where you live until you've decided you want us to visit.
Why, and on what basis
To answer your enquiry. The lawful basis is what the law calls "steps at your request prior to entering into a contract" — you asked us for a price, so we use your details to give you one.
The budget question. We use it to tell you straight away if what you want costs more than you've got, rather than after we've both spent a Saturday on it. If it's a mismatch we say so and suggest something that fits.
Advertising measurement. Only if you agreed to cookies. This lets us see which adverts bring people here so we stop paying for the ones that don't. Lawful basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at the bottom of this page.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry is stored in this website's own database and then passed to the tools we use to actually run the job. Named plainly, because you're entitled to know:
Base44
Hosts this website and its database, and sends us the email alert when you enquire.
HighLevel (GoHighLevel)
Our customer system — it's what creates the task telling us to ring you, and sends any text messages you get from us.
SyncCore
Our own internal job management system, where a job lives once it's booked in.
If you consented to cookies, Meta (Facebook) also receives the fact that an enquiry happened, so it can tell which advert led to it. Some of these providers process data outside the UK, under the safeguards their own terms set out.
We don't sell your details, and we don't pass them to other builders, lead brokers or anyone else. If a job goes ahead we may need to share your address with a supplier delivering materials or the electrician issuing your certificate — that's it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't turn into work: two years, because a garden room people were thinking about in October is often one they buy in March. Ask us and we'll delete yours sooner.
Customers: the length of your guarantee plus a year. Your structure is covered for ten years and your electrics for two — we can't honour that if we've deleted the record of what we built and who for. Financial records are kept for six years because HMRC requires it.
What you can ask us to do
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, object to us using it, or ask for it in a portable format. Ring or email and we'll sort it — there's no form to fill in and we'll come back to you within a month, usually the same week.
If you think we've handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Cookies
The site needs one small piece of storage to remember your cookie choice — without it we'd have to ask on every page. That one is essential and there's no way to switch it off short of blocking storage in your browser.
Everything else is Meta's advertising pixel, and it only loads if you said yes. Change your mind whenever you like:
Advertising cookies are currently not set.
Turning them off stops anything new being collected. It won't reach back and delete what Meta already has — for that, use the settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.
Changes
If we start using a new tool that handles your details, we'll name it on this page. Last updated September 2026.
