Building across South Wales
since 2010.
And only South Wales — deliberately. There's a reason for that, and it's the first thing on this page.

Of Swansea, and a bit beyond
We started Cwtch & Canopy so we could sleep at home.
The commercial side of what we do — Pro Spec Interiors — means working away. London one month, Scotland the next. The money is good and the standards are high, and we're proud of that work. But you miss things. Birthdays. Matches. Ordinary Tuesday evenings.
We're all getting older, and we'd all rather be at home. So we built the thing we'd rather be doing: proper work, to the same standard, within driving distance of our own front doors.
That's why we only cover South Wales, and why we're not going to start covering anywhere else. It isn't a limitation we're apologising for. It's the whole reason the company exists.
We're not going anywhere
No disappearing to a job in Glasgow halfway through yours.
Year three, not year one
Something needs looking at later, we're twenty minutes away — not two hundred miles.
Commercial standards, domestic job
The specification we'd use on a contracted fit-out, on a room in your garden.
We're not joiners, and we don't pretend to be.
What we build is engineered systems — insulated wall and roof panels, external composite cladding, thermally broken aluminium, toughened glass. There's no timber substructure in a Cwtch & Canopy garden room, which is the point: nothing to rot, nothing to stain every spring, nothing to go silver in the sun.
Plenty of firms round here will sell you a timber-framed shed and call it a garden room. Some of them are good. But a shed and a room you'd sit in through February are different products, and the difference is the base, the insulation and the cladding — the three things you can't see once it's finished, and the three things we won't cut.
That's also why we put the guarantee in writing. Ten years on the structure, two on the electrical installation, and a warranty document with the electrician's certificate bound into the back of it.
A phone call first.
We'd rather spend five minutes on the phone than drive to your house and find out in the first thirty seconds that we're twenty grand apart. It wastes your Saturday and ours.
So the prices are on the website. There's a calculator that gives you a real figure for a real garden room, with the base and the electrics and the doors in it, before you give us so much as an email address. If the number works for you, we'll come and measure up. If it doesn't, you've lost nothing.
And if what you want costs more than you've got, we'll say so on that first call rather than at the end of a site visit.
“Just had a Veranda built and absolutely love it! Scott is a pleasure to deal with as very open and honest. His workmen Carl and co were professional, on time and talked through the process, timescales and ensured to keep everything tidy and clean. The end product is better than expected.”
